Ursula Seymour
Ursula Seymour is a vocal coach, singer, and songwriter from Mount Kisco, NY, residing in the Hudson Valley. As a teacher, her favorite part of the experience is giving her students real confidence in their gifts.
Ursula has a background in a cappella arranging and coaching, and always encourages students to learn how to harmonize and elevate their aural skills.
Most importantly, she wants students to have fun and experience the joy in their singing. Ursula has experience with students from ages 4 to 65.
NYU Steinhardt
Ursula earned her Bachelor's in Music Business from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. She also studied Vocal Performance in Musical Theatre. Ursula was Assistant Music Director of the competitive a cappella group The NYU Mixtapes. The Mixtapes won the quarterfinals of their ICCA 2016 competition with special recognition for Outstanding Arrangement and Outstanding Choreography.
School of Rock
Ursula is passionate about educating the next generation of performers in vocal technique and performance. At School of Rock Ursula is a 1-on-1 vocal instructor teaching technique, theory, and vocal performance to her students. Ursula doesn’t only make sure they're stage-ready as performers, she’s also preparing students for seasonal showcases and performances. Students train in all genres, such as rock, metal, punk, pop, and more! Ursula also directs band rehearsals for the School of Rock seasonal showcases. It is her great joy to be an instructor and she is so proud of her students.
MVORE
Ursula became a member of MVORENATION in 2022. Performing with MVORE has provided many opportunities for Ursula to share her gifts and serve the community.
MVORE is a movement filled with Artists, Performers, Entrepreneurs, Musicians, Writers, Actors, and community members. MVORE is an acronym that represents 5 Key values for striving for your purpose. Through cultural performances, concerts, public feedings, dance showcases, music events, entrepreneur events, art workshops, and poetry classes, we’re beautifully impacting the community.
